Micmacs turned out to be very charming. Have had it laying around for ages but never got around to watching it. Very, uhm.. french. A bit Amélie-esque. |

Not that anyone would be surprised, but Resident Evil 5 is a bad movie. I liked the first one and have somehow ended up seeing all its (terrible) sequels. |

But "John Dies At The End" is fun. Really weird though, at first glance it was completely unpenetrable to any logic I could see.. I mean, it was off-putting how weird it was. But to its credit there's a certain charm that shines through as it moves along, and it does follow an internal logic. |

I look forward to seeing them. Since moving to Denmark I've lost my movie-going crew, so I haven't been to a theater in ages. I inevitably end up watching them at home. We watched The One I Love, and it was great! We thought it was just a rom-com, but it... quickly takes a turn for the odd in a way I won't spoil. |

Every time I saw Chris Pratt on screen, I though "Bert Maclin: Dinosaur Trainer". Sadly, only those of you who watch Parks and Rec will get it. And Shadarr got married. Our boy is growing up! 'Sup?

(Got weeks of boooring requirement reviews to wade through - and Jesus wept, as far as req management frameworks go, DOORS really sucks the big one. Finally finished Game of Thrones, I was particularly on edge as the ending approached. Phew! Ted was a fun movie. And Knights of Sidonia season 2 somehow grabbed me. Not sure what it is about that show, it's not really great in any way I can put my finger on. But somehow endearing. Maybe it's the 17 minute episodes that makes the whole thing easy to consume. And finally, in a move I blame entirely on Netflix, I watched 2010. It's been like 20 years since I saw it and to make sense of everything it helps to've read the books.. but I really dig it. I know 2001 is supposed to be the masterpiece of all cinema forever and ever, but 2010 is a hoot nevertheless. |

Stumbled into Advantageous on Netflix and it's really good. I found very tense, despite nothing actiony happening. It's low budget but beautifully shot and with efficient use of CGI. |

OK, that trip to the bathroom took a lot longer than I thought it would. What did I miss? *** My google-fu appears to be weak. i can't find OpenCrap, I'm presuming it still works since the site looks the same but perhaps the backend stuff has changed and it's not working anymore? I found CrapSifter and boy that is a great way to find some old fantastic threads and lose track of 75 minutes. Anyway, nice to be back. |

OpenCrap is no longer a thing. There used to be a greasemonkey script somewhere that replicated some of the functionality of OC, but I doubt that works anymore either. Honestly, I'm surprised this site hasn't been shuttered, yet. |
